This application seems to have an issue with the HTC PPC6800 in particular. (Known as "Titan" or "Mogul" as well as a few other names - depending on your carrier.) At the time of this post, the software itself into a failed login attempt/Retry Login Pending loop. It fails then retries, fails, retries, fails, etc... The software looks DAMN good otherwise. What I can see of it in screenshots, anyway... Their site doesn't indicate that they are doing much to remedy it. They just ask us to post our phone software/firmware revision numbers, etc. But then they mock you if you get a little frustrated. Guess I won't be posting my own complaint. Hope they fix this. This software looks solid.

My ATT Tilt came with the default ATT provided chat client. This got annoying very quickly like many other freeware chats on Windows and Symbian phones; they can't stay connected. Also, this one would only work on GPRS, not Wi Fi. Extra annoying. Palringo on the other hand, hooked up to my Yahoo and AIM clients first time and it hasn't let go. I've been chatting with people reliably on a cell phone for the first time ever. If I could ask for anything more (which I will...) it would be a today plugin with demographics on which chats are open in which clients. Not a "have to have" but a nice to have for a package this slick and professional grade. Thanks!!! Paul

Works great on the T-Mobile DASH. [That is the "like".] DISLIKE: Everything is filtered through their servers. You are *not* connecting to any of the IM services directly from their software to your IM service. [**WARNING**] You are providing Palringo with your login and password information and *they* log into the IM provider through their servers. AND, all your messages ARE saved on their servers. It is not that I'm personally sending even anything remotely questionable over their servers, but providing my private login and password for my AIM, MSN, Yahoo or any other IM service doesn't 100% sit well with my privacy needs. Will I use it? Yes - but, I did only install it to talk w/ one specific individual.

The Pros: It's a very nice sleek I.M client that does get the job done. It's userfriendly. The Cons: Even when I closed it it made my phone continue to stay connected to the Edge/GPRS thus eating my battery. I removed it and ever since I have to manually close my Edge and/or GPRS connection after using Internet Explorer or any other program that uses data. For free, its not bad, but its definitely not Agile messenger's quality.
