Hi, does any one know if it is possible to select ring tones directly from the memory card? It is frustrating that it has to be from the phone memory. This causes duplication of the same file, which will be on the memory card, as well as on the phone memory. This is on the HTC touch

You'll be editing registry values to get windwos to point towards the microSD card, get one of the free registry editors and work with a little and change the directional paths.

You can tap the file on the card with your stylus and save as ringtone, this will play when you get your incoming call. Ramkie

You can store your ringtones on the root memory of your storage card, as advised by OMGuru above. It should work.
You must not put the ringtones under a new folder, just plain ringtone files under the Storage Card root directory...

It is a little bit untidy, but you could "rename" those ringtones in current use, as Ring1..., Ring2...and so on, to keep them in one cluster. For other ringtones in standby, not currently selected, you could create a folder "Standby Ringtones" and store them for anytime selection. Again, just remember to remove all current selection tones to root directory so that they will be visible for selection as ringtones as per wm6 system.

I already did that, but it still copy the file into ring folder in main memory...
