Background program not closed

Hi All,
Im using WM6.1 on my Samsung Omnia. Even though i had closed the application with an "OK" or "X" option, when i go the the task manager, the application is still there. Is this a bug of WM?

My HTC Touch Diamond does that, I have to close everything from in Task Manager, is that not normal???

go into setings and go to remove progams and do a soft reset

I have a HTC Touch Diamond and i do not have the problem. Under Settings->System->Joblist(on my Danish software it's Jobliste)->3. tab (Botton) you can change the behavior of the x-botton.

Similar to posting from Agazoth,
for WM6.1, go to Settings > Auto Cleaner >
Tick box to enable X button to close program either by 'simple press' or 'press and hold.'

I have had similar problems with programs on an XDA Orbit 2. As an alternative to solving the problem direct I have installed "tMan". This is free from www.freecabs.de (afraid you will have to look for it). Once installed this givs a dot next to the X top right of your screen in all programs.
When you click on the dot it brings up all the programs running and allows you to swap to them and or close them. You can also close background tasks.
This may not be "the" answer but it is very easy to use and I found it better than going through multiple menus to get to various settings. It can also give you back control for the occassional game that freezes and wont close as you can force it to close from this screen.

Certainly agree with you.

Third party task managers would be the better answer.
Another popular free task manager utility is Pbar.

As there are various pdas with different processors, it would be good to try different versions and see how they perform and choose to personal satisfaction, although the popular commercial software would provide more powerful applications.

that`s not a omnia problem it`s a wm problem.

with spb pocket plus you can do what you want.
